2. Information We Collect

When you use CURA, we may collect information that you voluntarily provide, information generated through your use of the app, and limited technical data required for the app to function correctly.

3. Use of Scan Data & Safety Database

CURA maintains an internal database to improve the speed, accuracy, and safety of scan results for all users.

  • Anonymized Data Extraction: When a scan is performed, we may extract non-identifiable information from the result (such as the name of an item and its toxicity classification) to expand our internal safety database.

  • Strict Privacy for Images: Images submitted by users are never stored, retained, reused, or added to this database.

  • No User Linking: Scan data used for improvement purposes is fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to an individual user, account, device, or cat profile.


4. Image & AI Processing

Images submitted for scanning are processed securely and temporarily using AI systems in order to generate a result.

  • Images are not stored after processing.

  • Images are not accessible to other users.

  • Images are not used to train public or third-party AI models.

Note: Only anonymized scan outcomes (not images) may be retained to improve CURA's accuracy and performance.


5. How We Use Personal Data

Personal data collected through CURA is used only to operate and improve the app. We do not sell personal data. We use your data specifically for:

  • Providing scan results and personalizing guidance based on cat profiles.

  • Managing accounts and subscriptions.

  • Responding to support requests.

  • Maintaining app security and reliability.


6. Location and "Find a Vet" Feature

CURA includes a feature that allows users to locate nearby veterinary services.

  • When used, the app redirects the user to Google Maps with a pre-filled search query.

  • CURA does not collect, store, or process precise location data. Any location information used during this process is handled directly by Google and is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy.


7. Analytics and Performance Monitoring

We use analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how the app is used and to identify technical issues. This data is aggregated or anonymized where possible and is not linked to individual scans, images, or cat profiles.


8. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments and subscriptions are processed by third-party providers such as Apple or Google. CURA does not store or process payment card details.


9. Data Sharing

We may share limited data with trusted service providers where necessary to operate the app, including cloud hosting providers, analytics services, crash-reporting tools, and AI processing services. All such providers are required to comply with applicable data protection laws and to process data only on our instructions.


10. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal or regulatory obligations, or improve app functionality. Users may request the deletion of their data at any time.


11. Your Rights

Under UK and EU data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, as well as to restrict or object to certain processing activities. You may exercise these rights by contacting help@try-cura.app.


12. Children

CURA is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, users will be notified within the app.
